In the news today: “More than 24 million Chinese men of marrying age could find themselves without spouses in 2020, state media reported on Monday, citing a study that blamed sex-specific abortions as a major factor.” You can’t go murdering baby girls and not pay a price. China will continue their bad Karma as long as they commit the crimes that they commit and female infanticide isn’t the only horrible thing they do!

chinese woman are better looking than thir men by far so why would they want a son sons are boring

  3. localgal808 says:

You need to understand that in those type of culture men have rights, opportunities and freedom that are not afforded unto daughters. So society would value boys over daughters because daughters are family liability and boys are family asset.

  4. scir91 says:

why do people dislike having a daughter? the only difference between a boy and girl is the sex/gender. daughters are beautiful! you can’t have society where there are many more males than females. that makes no sense. i can’t wait to see what will happen to all those single men in china and india when there aren’t enough females to marry.

The 1 child policy is a lie, You Tube Steve Mosher (Hegemon). He is a Social Scientist that was in China in 79 & witnessed it first hand. pop org for more

  6. teton99 says:

Furthermore, according to the UNFPA’s State of the World Population Report last year, there is a global deficit of 60 million women in the world — that is the same as the total population of the UK — and that these ‘missing’ females have been pre-natally sex-selected, aborted, and infanticized out of existence.

ok if u believe that is the same then sure … i would argue that killing me in my sleep is a crime on two accounts 1. i had a will to wake up when i was going to bed … i wanted to persist and i acted to suspend myself not to terminate myself same cannot be said about little kids. 2. there are people in this world that are attached to me and terminating me is a crime against them even more so then a crime against me … if not by consciousness what are u implying we should base it on ??

  8. topgig says:

It doesn’t matter how much mature cognition or memory an infant may have or not have. Like any person, it thinks and feels and it deserves life like any other human. Setting an arbitrary point of sufficient cognition based on a few studies doesn’t solve the problem. Other parents will claim that their younger infants are capable of enough thought to have the right to life, and other studies will suggest types of cognition at earlier stages. Selecting who will be protected and who won’t is toxic.

  9. topgig says:

OK, for starters, there is no debate over whether a baby is a full-fledged human being once fully born. As such, you do not kill any human beings in cold blood. That’s elementary. (And yes, as for the abortion issue, I am pro-life. So sue me).

Further, if you take an infant’s life, you take away the infant’s potential to do good deeds for the world as an adult. The loss of one life is a loss for all humanity. “No man is an island, entire of itself,” as John Donne said.

  10. arconus says:

about the age … you can set it up at 1 month it doesn’t really matter every country sets it up at what they feel appropriate .. the law on it can be set up on the same basis as every other low … why 1 month .. well for me it doesn’t matter as long as it’s below the point of cognition (there is research that suggests that age) but 1 month gives enough time for “abortion of poverty” and thats all thats needed

  11. arconus says:

ok give me a single argument against infanticide that is different then a anti abortion argument

if u are pro life i feel sorry for u and we have nothing to talk about … if u are pro choice u are a hypocrite

about the line it’s simple i think that infanticide is a abortion of poverty they just cant afford abortion .. for me there is a point when kids can make permanent memories .. this moment is established by studies .. chose that moment and the problem is solved

  12. ChulaKirby says:

It would be the same as 20th century germany and the holocaust.

  13. ChulaKirby says:

If someone killed you in your sleep would you be aware of it? Are you suggesting that it is okay to murder someone if they are unconscious of it? Are you suggesting a litmus test of being human or a person by your consciousness?

  14. arconus says:

A soul is regarded as a philosophically bankrupt concept by most modern philosophers (deism is ridicules and logically incoherent)
B.about the point of age it’s simple we know exactly when infants are able to recognize themselves etc and that moment is probably a good point to give them rights. That said I’m not saying that killing infants should be encouraged. I’m just saying we should not demonize it … there are far more important problems in the world.

  15. topgig says:

    Going futher:

Human life is to be safeguarded as sacred because every person has the potential to do something good for the world. Philosophers from Aquinas to Locke have held that all human beings are entitled by nature to their right to live, and the youngest ones are no different.

The human soul exists for all human beings, which is an important distinction from animals. Infants have no less a soul than any other human, and therefore their life is as sacred as any other.

  16. topgig says:

Even if one assumes that an infant has no self-awareness, the infant is soon going to grow into a self-aware person. Killing the infant destroys its chance to become a fully developed person.

At what point in age are we as a society supposed to draw the line where we say that an infant is sufficiently self-aware that it is fully human and cannot be terminated? Two years old? Three years old? Four years old? The hair-splitting would become ridiculous, subjective and arbitrary.

  17. arconus says:

well thats a nice statement what i want to see is some argument … how is killing an infant a murder more then killing a cow is murder if new born infants have no self awareness and has intelligence way below that of an average cow ?? And if u insist on calling it a murder … tell me how is that murder any more wrong then the murder of a cow being ??

  18. roybains says:

What kind of monsters kill infants. Souless pieces of shit.

  19. topgig says:

Giving it up for adoption is fine, but killing the infant is still murder, no matter how swiftly it’s done. Human beings are not cows, no matter what their age or their stage of development.

  20. arconus says:

if u were the infant in question you would have no self awareness so you would not think anything of it whatsoever … terminating an infant is no more wrong then terminating a cow … sure should be done as swiftly as possible … and maybe you should consider giving it out for adoption instead … but it’s hardly murder

  21. topgig says:

Well, it is the murder of an infant, naturally. If I were the infant in question about to be terminated, I would certainly think there was something wrong.

  22. arconus says:

whats so wrong with infanticide anyways ??

China oppose human rights. That is the problem…

  26. Talia Carner says:

Unfortunately, infanticide in China continues, and is projected to grow. Many of us hope that it is all because of gender-selection abortions (as evil as these are.) The truth is that the outright killing of infants and toddlers continues to grow. Please view my presentation to the U.N. accessible on my website at: http://www.taliacarner.com/gendercide.pdf
